I was so blessed to have the mother-in-law that I did. I loved her so much. I married Mom’s only son – and the baby to boot! You’ve heard the stories of the kind of mother-in-law that can make life so very difficult for her daughter-in-law. Can’t do anything right and will never be able to take care of her son as well as she can.
That was not the case for me. Mom was very loving to me from the first time we met. She only offered advice when asked. She did not criticize me (although she thought I kept the house a bit too neat and tidy. J) She would introduce me as her DAUGHTER – not daughter in law.
I can’t remember a time when she did not have a smile on her face or when she was grumpy or angry. Catherine Fuller Yallalee was one remarkable lady. I wish I could be half as good as she was. I am glad that she is now with our Lord and reaping the many treasures she earned here on earth. But I will miss her. I love you, Mom.
